We are a religious community that promotes and perpetuates, for the Igbo people in Canada, the Catholic Faith. Our main goals are to preserve and perpetuate the Catholic Faith in our children through the lens of the Igbo culture, language, social and spiritual values. Likewise, we seek to reach out in charity to our poor brothers and sisters, near and far through our blessings. The Igbo Catholic Church is a branch of the Catholic Church that serves the Igbo people, an ethnic group predominantly found in southeastern Nigeria. Like other branches of the Catholic Church, the Igbo Catholic Church follows the teachings and traditions of the Roman Catholic Church but incorporates elements of Igbo culture and spirituality into its worship and practices.
